ZALA Lancet
The ZALA Lancet is a Russian-made loitering munition developed by ZALA Aero Group, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov Concern. It entered service in 2020 and has since become one of Russia’s most widely used precision strike drones. Capable of both reconnaissance and attack missions, the Lancet can identify, track, and destroy high-value targets such as artillery systems, armored vehicles, and radar stations.
Originally combat-tested in Syria, the Lancet has seen extensive deployment in the Russo-Ukrainian war, where it has proven to be a low-cost but effective precision weapon. It uses electro-optical guidance and real-time video transmission, allowing operators to manually guide it to its target in the final phase of flight.
